Use it – Use it – Use it

We don’t think it’s possible to “wear out” one of our buildings, but we’d like to see you try. Our happiest customers are those that use the tower on a daily basis.

  • Use your Training Tower as a community outreach tool to help local industries and school groups.
  • Keep it fresh. Invent creative training scenarios.
  • The more you use it, the greater your return on investment.
Share it
  • Reduce your operating expense, or even your initial costs, through contracts with other agencies inside and outside your jurisdiction.
  • Protect this resource by maintaining control of the keys, the schedule, and by providing direct supervision.
  • Consider Police Academies and SWAT Teams as potential cost-sharing partners.
  • Contract with other firefighting organizations for time in the buildings.
  • Establish strict usage guidelines agreed on by all parties.
Care for it
  • Owners must follow the maintenance guidelines to ensure long life.
  • Carefully monitor the operating temperatures at all times.
  • Do not exceed temperature limits.
  • Do not over tighten screws securing Padgenite™ panels.
  • Any building looks great the week after it’s installed. Well-maintained WHP buildings look great 25+ years later.
  • This is a big investment of taxpayer dollars. Treat it like you would a new engine or truck.

In 15 years, you should be able to proudly point to it and say “We made the best choice!”
